NEW YORK (AP) — Metro-North has added trains to accommodate the large number of morning commuters.
The railroad was running on a Saturday schedule on Friday but later added eight trains on the New Haven line to handle big crowds.
The Journal News (http://lohud.us/1lO800X ) says commuters complained on Twitter about an inadequate number of trains.
It says many riders were left waiting on platforms because trains were overcrowded.
The Long Island Rail Road is running 90 percent of its normal weekday schedule.
