NEW YORK (AP) — Police have made an arrest in the fatal shooting of two men on Staten Island.

Police say 27-year-old Darren Brown was arrested Wednesday on charges of murder, attempted robbery and criminal possession of a weapon. It wasn't clear if the Staten Island man had a lawyer.

The shooting happened around 6:15 p.m. Tuesday at 140 Park Hill Ave. in the Park Hill section. Police say 34-year-old Kenrick Gray had a gunshot wound to the head. The other victim, 41-year-old Noland Whistleton, had gunshot wounds to the torso and legs.

Both Staten Island men were pronounced dead at the hospital.
