NEW YORK (AP) — New York City police are continuing their search for a 14-year-old autistic boy missing for over three weeks.
Avonte Oquendo (ah-VAHN'-tay oh-KEHN'-doh) was last seen on Oct. 4 walking out of a school in Queens.
NYPD Chief of Department Philip Banks said Sunday police have no new leads to report and that resources may shift in the search, but they're still looking for him on the assumption that he's still alive.
On Friday, Police Commissioner Raymond Kelly said Friday 80 detectives assigned to the case were reviewing 196 pieces of video and following up on more than 450 leads.
The reward for Avonte's safe return is up to nearly $90,000. Police ask anyone with information to call the police TIPS hot line.
