Fall foliage in full color around NY

October 19, 2013
Associated Press

ITHACA, N.Y. (AP) — Fall foliage should be in full color across New York state this weekend.

While large portions of the Adirondacks and the Catskills are past their peak, state tourism officials say colors will be vivid around much of the Finger Lakes and the Hudson Valley this weekend.

For instance, tourism officials say a full fall palette of red, gold and orange leaves should be on view along the Shawangunk (SHAWN'-guhnk) Ridge and the Hudson River.

Peak foliage also will be on display in Ontario County southeast of Rochester.
