LOCKPORT, N.Y. (AP) — An upstate New York grandfather returning home from vacation discovered damage to his walls and windows from a party that was thrown by his grandson.

He also found prescription medication missing, along with an iPad and several other things worth about $2,300.

Niagara County Sheriff's deputies say they were called to the Lockport home early Sunday morning and found about 20 people there, several of whom fled. The Buffalo News (http://bit.ly/1aeL5dh ) reports that deputies were able to detain three people, including a 16-year-old who was charged with possessing marijuana.

Deputies say the grandson admits that he threw the party. The sheriff's office alerted the grandfather before he got home.
