Thomas H. Brumagin, 88, of Erie, Pa. died September 26, 2008 at Forestview Health Care Center.
He was born in Westfield on April 19, 1920 a son of the late Merle H. and Clara Craig Brumagin. He was a 1937 Westfield High School graduate, and then received his degree in Mechanical Engineering at Case University in 1946.
In 1943 Thomas served in the US Army Air Corps and was assigned to the 393rd squadron 509th group as a Flight Engineer on B29 airplanes. The 393rd Squadron dropped the Atomic bomb on Japan. Thomas then retires as captain in reserve in 1946.
He was employed for 33 years for Renold Inc. formerly Ajax Flex company until his retirement in 1979. He served as the first President of Renold Inc. after the sale.
He was a lifetime member of the First Presbyterian Church of Westfield.
