Rush To Judgment

Wed, June 18, 2008 @ 2:16PM The only reason I have a television is for sports. I actually enjoy attending professional sporting contest for the event itself, not all the sideshow circus stunts done between half-innings, timeouts and television timeouts. And while I wasn't able to watch the U.S. Open 18-hole playoff on Monday because of work, I was able to catch most of the third and fourth rounds this past weekend. It's hard not to watch when Tiger Woods is in contention. My wife even gets interested when Woods is in contention at a golf tournament. Now that's when you realize how powerful this person really is in terms of interest. I use my wife as an example because her idea of a birdie involves chirping and flying. But I digress. Anyway, as I was saying, watching Tiger's back nine on Saturday night was interesting. It was humorous when he chipped in from a sidehill lie. It became downright ridiculous when he sank that 70-foot putt on the final hole. And then he has to go an extra hole on Monday just to win the
